With time the Pujari would not be there while his heirs would. That’s why carry all the things along so that the Pujari does not ask for money in a wrong manner and this system continues as it is. We expect everyone to do this ritual with our elders and the Pujari. If possible carry all the things required for the rituals together only. We advise for all those living far off at Mumbai, Madras, Bangalore, Ahmedabad can buy the things needed for the ritual at Valbhipur which is nearby.
After performing the rituals for Chedachedi only, one can get the clothes of marriage washed. Until the ritual is performed the clothes of the bride and the groom are not to be washed.
Shree Momai Mataji Mandir, Chamardi Road, via Valbhipur, Bhavnagar. The pujari there is Ramuben and son Pravinbhai.
Shri Suddhandada is seated at Shri Tana Village. We know about him through some limited information we have. Suddhandada’s real name was “Jivrajdada”. He has become our Dada in the 4th-5th generation. Because of his demise in childhood and his wish he has been made seated there. He has to be worshipped by offering a ghee lamp, agarbatti and a shrifal.
After getting the daughter married, bride and groom have to take blessings wearing the same clothes of the marriage by tying the Chedachedi and offering a lamp, agarbatti and 2 shrifals.
Suddhandada’s Vidhi is on Chaitra Vadh Naum and on that day according to custom we need to feed three Brahman’s and change the Jamneri Shrifal. After that, at Tana village there is our elderly Dada’s Sthanak who we know as “Lakhiya Dada”. We also possess some information about him. That is, Lakhiya Dada’s real name was Lakshmichand. He used to love a lady named Nanbai. Nanbai was a weaver. Due to sudden demise of Lakshmichand Dada, our elders have built a temple and made him seated there. At his sthanak bride and groom wearing marriage clothes tying the Chedachedi has to offer ghee lamp, agarbatti and one shrifal to seek his blessings. Shri Lakhiyadada blessings have to be sought every year on Shravan Vadhi Amas(also known as Bhadarwa Amas) by offering a ghee lamp, shrifal and Prasad(to be kept near the lamp).
