Since last 25 – 30 years, the anniversary of dear Shri Chandraprabhu swami is celebrated on the 2nd day of Fagun Sud. Under all circumstances, this celebration is attended by everyone of the Tana family. In the presence of Pujya Guru Bhagwan, the early morning of the 2nd day of Fagun Sud witnesses bidding for and winning the permission for the first Puja and the hoisting of the Dhaja (Flag). This fills a sense of happiness in the air. The 173rd anniversary of the derasar of Shri Chandraprabhu Swami was celebrated by Shri Tana Nagar under the guidance of Pujya Shri Acharya Bhagwant Shri Ashokchandra Suri and Shri Chandroday Suri Maharaj Saheb in year 2045 Fagun Sud 2nd dated 7th March 1989. Bhai Shri Shantilal Nagardas Dharamshi Manekchand family had won the permission for Pujya Bhagwanji’s Dhaja while Bhai Shri Mahipat Prabhudas Vitthaldas family participated in the bidding and won the permission for the first Puja. From that day onwards history for the Derasar’s anniversary was created not only in Saurashtra, Gujarat but in India. The same was followed by both these families for the next 9 years continuously.
Experts of Jainism believe that when a temple’s Dhaja is hoisted with immense belief, it brings immense goodness to one’s life. Those who have hoisted Bhagwanji Shri Chandraprabhu swami’s Dhaja in Tana have themselves experienced this first-hand.
The records were then broken under the guidance of Param Pujya Acharya Rajyash Suri, Shri Hemprabhu Suri, Shri Uchak Suri, Shri Pradhuman Suri amongst others. For all the saints of the jain community, there is an internal wish to always be a part of this celebration. Pujya Shri Ratnasundar Suri Maharaj Saheb has created a wonderful context of Arihant Bhakti, SadhuSadhvi’s Vaiyavachh and Adharmik Bhakti in Tana.
